2022 Victorian State ChampionshipsTO ENTER THE VICTORIAN STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS - ALL ENTRIES MUST BE ENTERED VIA THE ONE AND ONLY "LOG ON DETAILS" FROM THE CLUB HEAD OF STYLE. AN EXAMPLE WOULD BE THAT ALL KIMEKAI COMPETITORS WILL HAVE TO ENTER USING SENSEI MAZZANTI'S CLUB LOG IN. THIS IS TO STOP ANY TEAM MEMBERS MEETING EACH OTHER IN THE FIRST ROUND (UNLESS THIS IS UNAVOIDABLE DUE TO NUMBERS ENTERED IN THE CATEGORY).Tournament Fees for online entries only*** IMPORTANT - Due to COVIDSafe Rules, all bouts (Kata & Kumite) will be judged using the flag system. There will be 2 sessions for this tournament and athletes and spectators are to arrive ONLY for the session applicable to them. Session details will be provided at a later date. ***ENTRY COSTS:$105.00 = 1 event and $10.00 for each additional event/s. ie for 3 events - $105.00 + $10.00 + $10.00 = $125.00 Teams = $75.00 (please pay for teams separately) THERE WILL BE NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ENTER ON OR BEFORE THE CLOSURE DATE Entries Close 22nd February 2022 for online entries. There are no PDF entries for this tournament. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances and full payment for competitors on the waiting list must be finalised by the cut-off date by the Head of Style or will automatically be classed as a late entry and removed from the entry list. Coaches Information - IMPORTANTIn order for you to be eligible to coach on the mats during the tournament, you MUST REGISTER your name under the Coaches registration on SET ONLINE. Any Coach who does not register their names for the tournament will be removed from the mat area and will be unable to Coach during this tournament. It is also a requirement that Coaches dress appropriately in their FULL CLUB TRACKSUIT. Failure to do so will also result in being removed from the mat. With regards to number of coaches per club, the number is 1 coach per 5 students to a maximum of 5 club coaches in total (5 mats). PLEASE NOTE: To coach at the State Championships YOU MUST be KIA/NCAS Accredited and be current at the time of the tournament. Due to COVID-19, NCAS accreditations that expired in 2021 will be accepted as current, for this tournament To coach at this tournament, coaches need to complete & accept the Coaches' Code of Coduct Form to be found **here** Selection to 2022 Victorian Squad To compete at the 2022 Victorian State Championships, athletes must belong to a KV/AKF registered/associated club. As the 2022 Victorian State Championships is a selection tournament for the 2022 Karate Victoria State Squad, please note that there will be NO team kumite events or Open Kumite Events.
REGARDING INJURY AND AMBULANCE TRAVEL - IMPORTANTIf at anytime an ambulance is required by an athlete during the Championships, it is at the expense of the athlete and not Karate Victoria. Spectator Fees and Refund InformationSpectator Entry Fees: FREE ** COVIDSafe protocols as applicable will be followed ** Refund Information: In the event an athlete can no longer compete, the following refunds will apply: - 70% - 8 days or more prior to the tournament date - 50% - 7 days prior to the tournament date with a medical certificate - Nil refund if 3 days prior to tournament. Important Weigh-in InformationPlease note, there is a weigh-in allowance of 200grams for 14 years and above categories and 500grams for 13 years and below categories. As this tournament is a selection tournament for the Karate Victoria State Team, athletes who do not make weight after 3 attempts shall be deemed ineligible to compete at this tournament. All divisions that have weight categories MUST weigh in! Athletes will not have the option of moving up or down a weight division. Age Cut-offAge is determined by the age a competitor will be EITHER 5th August 2022 (if vying for Nationals only) OR 26th October 2022 (if vying for Junior WORLDS Selection).
