Date: 30.11.2024. beginning at 9.30.

Competition level and participation restrictions: Any participant from the age of 8 years (inclusive) can take part in the competition, regardless of the athlete's training level and previous achievements.

Registration for the competition: Competitors must be registered online using electronic pre-registration system on www.shotokan.lv/online/; www.karateregistration.lv.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: until 25.11.2024. 23.59 PM. After 25 november  new participants cannot be added!

Important aspects of the competition:

1. Responsibility for athlete's health and non-use of equipment. Athletes as well as their coaches and parents are responsible for all injuries that will be obtained due to not using the necessary equipment! The participants themselves are responsible for the compliance of their health condition with participation in the tournament and health insurance! The organizers do not provide the necessary equipment!

2. Protection of privacy and personal data. Photography and video filming will take place at the venue of the competition, the organizers of the competition may use the recorded material for self-promotion purposes without coordination with the people appearing in it.

3. Dispute resolution procedure and protest. All questions that are not included in this restriction are answered according to organizing and LKF referee’s commitees. Protest consideration – 100 EUR.

4. Size of tatami. Tatami - 8x8m (+1m protective strip).

5. Overweight. The permissible overweight in the Kumite category is 0.2 kg for boys and 0.5 kg for girls. Weigh-in takes place on the day of the competition from 9.00 a.m. to 15.00 (but necessarily before your category!). In case of inappropriate weight, it is possible to register an athlete in another category that corresponds to the current weight for an additional fee of 10 EUR. If the athlete did not register his weight before the category and its discrepancy was revealed after the beginning of the category, then the athlete is disqualified from this category and the participation fee is not returned.

6. Doping ban. The association "Fudzi sporta klubs" complies with the rules of the World Anti-Doping Code in its activities and ensures the conduct of competitions without substances and methods prohibited in sports.

Awards: 1st, 2nd and two 3rd places in Kata and Kumite disciplines will receive cups, medals, diplomas and possibly other prizes from the organizers.

TOP-3 clubs in the overall standings of the disciplines Kata and Kumite will be awarded with cups.

Competition rules:

All age groups for Kata and Kumite disciplines are subject to WKF rules, including LKF Children's Rules. Both Kata and Kumite disciplines have an Olympic system with full repechage.

Flag system in all categories. Kata and Kumite categories are judged by 3-5 judges.

KATA RULES

In categories up to U14 OPEN (inclusive), both athletes perform kata at the same time.

In categories U16 OPEN, U18 OPEN, +18 OPEN athletes perform the kata in turn.

Athletes perform the Kata with belts that match the color of the athlete in that bout (AKA or AO)!

U10 OPEN                             at least 1 Kata, bows are not evaluated

U12 OPEN                             at least 2 Katas – repeating the last KATA is forbidden, bows are evaluated

U14 OPEN                             at least 3 Katas – repeating the last KATA is forbidden, bows are evaluated

KUMITE RULES

Categories  U10, U12, U14 – WKF rules, including LKF Children's Rules.

Duration of fights:

U10 – 1 minute or up to 8 points difference

U12, U14 –1.5 minutes or up to 8 points difference

The athlete must have all equipment according to WKF regulations, but the equipment does not have to be marked "WKF approved". The color of gloves, leg guards and belt must match the color of the athlete in the respective bout (AKA or AO).

Categories U16, U18, +18 – WKF rules.

All KUMITE U16, U18, +18 and OPEN categories are held according to the Olympic system with full repechage!!!

Body protectors are mandatory for athletes!
Breast protector for girls 8-13 years. - optional, starting with U16 - mandatory.

In men's categories, hip (groin) guard (bandage) - mandatory starting with U14 categories.

All other equipment complies with WKF regulations. Head protection (helmet) is optional.

An athlete may participate in only one weight and age category and in the OPEN category!
